The synth's output seems to be working ok, the sampler works fine,
the buttons are working, but the power switch is a bit touchy.
It will stay on sometimes when the slider is thrown to OFF position..
All in all, not bad for 3 dollars..(!!) Also got at same secondhand store a year
ago, little red Yamaha SHS-10R
The yamaha has guitar strap knobs, but no sampler, and the voices suck ass.More suck than the Bissel. But, ahh, Yama-Red has the MIDI out, so its used
as a controller , standing up , (strapped) performances. Like a Guitar , yeahhhaa
Vibrato , Sustain and Portamento keys are on the neck, so you can mash 1 or 2
down simutaneously to perform the effect. I noticed its controls in FL Studio 5 demo (Fruityloops 5.0 ) , that alls are well for portamento in some standard VST 's .
