Record Smashing , INC
I have provided the readers of this page links (<<-- LEFT , scroll down) to get started finding some tunes , the links can be followed through other's posts and links bars ; most sites have numerous links to other blogs / pages with reviews, etc, so keep an eye on the sidelines. I have found more decent raw pure - you name it, music through the collections, thoughtsa and reviews of these music fans .... , there are people out there who want to spread the little-be-known, not heard on the radio, at least not nationally ..
Well listen to the Gavin Castleton rantings of a DJ , I believe it says alot for what there is out there...

I would probably post all sorts of music and links , but I believe the majority of the blogs on the left are doing abn exceptional job at that, so I stand down to not further repeat others work.
NOTE, If you can't download an mp3 audio file from a particular site, thats probably because its gone , the songs are usually released for a short time..
Here are some simple strategies to find that long-lost song
==1 : The Band's Website!==
Look around for their record label on a search engine ( Google ) or their personal site.
Sometimes bands won't have their own sites (some just don't care !) but the record label will usually have a promo section for their selection of bands and sometimes will allow stream/download of samples and/or full album cuts.
==2 : Amazon/Ebay/ITunes , etc==
Of course, these are a few of the larger , trusted sites available, they might not have your favorite rarity (I have found The Notwist on ebay, if that informs you of anything)
Ebay is a people place, so its a good chance you can find tapes and vynil CD's from someone, and ditch the google hunt altogether (at least , until you get burned out on the purchased media)
==3 :Google Blog beta..? eh==
http://blogsearch.google.com/
See what it can do for you. I haven't tested it much.
